Suspect in killing was ‘Sons of Anarchy’ actor

Johnny Lewis

Court records show “Sons of Anarchy” actor Johnny Lewis was released from jail a week before being found dead in his driveway after police say he apparently killed his landlady.

Los Angeles police said Thursday that the 28-year-old Lewis is the only suspect in the death of 81-year-old Catherine Davis, who was discovered slain inside the hillside home in Los Feliz.

Authorities say they are investigating Davis’ death and that it appears she was beaten. They say the actor died Wednesday after climbing atop the home and either jumping or falling to the ground.

Lewis played Kip “Half-Sack” Epps in the FX show.

Lewis pleaded no contest to assault with a deadly weapon and attempted burglary in separate cases this year, according to records.

He enrolled in a drug, alcohol and psychiatric treatment program over the summer, the records show.

Lewis was released from county jail Sept. 21.

As a condition of his probation in both cases, he was ordered not to use narcotics.

Lewis’ attorney Jonathan Mandel said Thursday he was “surprised” and “baffled” by the deaths.

Mandel declined to immediately comment on Lewis’s criminal history or possible drug problems pending consideration of client confidentiality requirements.

Before Lewis was discovered Wednesday morning, neighbors reported hearing a woman screaming in the home, said Los Angeles Police Cmdr. Andrew Smith.

Neighbors also told authorities that a man had jumped a fence, assaulted a painter and homeowner next door and jumped back.

It’s unclear whether drugs or alcohol were involved, but police are investigating that possibility based on the circumstances of the crime, Smith said.

Lewis had a career spanning more than a decade, mainly in small roles. He played Ricky in the 2007 movie “AVPR: Aliens vs Predator — Requiem” and was Dennis ‘Chili’ Childress for two seasons on TV’s “The O.C.”

His role in “Sons of Anarchy” came in 2008 and 2009.

Producer Seth MacFarlane and actress Emilia Clarke attend HBO's Official Emmy After Party at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center

Producer Seth MacFarlane and actress Emilia Clarke attend HBO’s Official Emmy After Party at The Plaza at the Pacific Design Center

It’s a LoveCon for Seth McFarlane and Emilia Clarke!

The actor, writer and creator of The Family Guy, 38, and the Game of Thrones actress, 24, “are dating,” a MacFarlane source tells Us Weekly. “It’s been going on for a few months.”

Emmys weekend proved to be a quiet coming out party for the unexpected pair; after hanging out at HBO’s after party together at L.A.’s Pacific Design Center, they were spotted leaving together.

Just one day before, MacFarlane and the British beauty (who plays the frequently nude Daenerys Targaryen/Khaleesi on HBO’s smash fantasy series) were photographed on an apparent date leaving the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

And on Sept. 17, newly emerged pics show the pair letting loose in L.A.’s Koreatown — singing karaoke at Cafe Brass Monkey!

On Tuesday — two days after the Emmys — the duo were spotted again, arm-in-arm, leaving Mel’s Diner.

What’s the secret to this unlikely pair? “[Seth] wants someone he is attracted to but who can have a good time and enjoy his success with,” the source explains to Us. Bonus? “He’s actually also a Game Of Thrones fan!”

Amanda Bynes faces new charges in driving case

Prosecutors have charged Amanda Bynes with knowingly driving on a suspended license. It’s the third court case the actress has racked up in recent months.

Amanda Bynes arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

Amanda Bynes arrives at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York.

Bynes was charged Friday in Burbank, Calif., with two counts of driving on a suspended license. The charges stem from an incident Sunday that led to her car being impounded.

Bynes faces two other cases — a drunken driving case and a hit-and-run case involving two accidents. Bynes’ driver’s license was revoked in August, and a judge last week ordered her to stop driving.

The 26-year-old starred in the Nickelodeon series “All That” and the 2010 film “Easy A.” She has pleaded not guilty in the DUI case.

Her attorney Richard Hutton was not available for comment.

The new charges were first reported by celebrity website TMZ

Lindsay Lohan: Mom Dina Lohan Talks LiLo Police Fiasco, Regrets Pushing Her to Become a Child Star

Dina Lohan and Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan and her mom, Dina Lohan

Heard anything about Lindsay Lohan lately? Anything?

Mom Dina Lohan certainly has, and she’s sounding off about her embattled daughter’s seemingly never-ending barrage of police run-ins and headline-grabbing antics, which now includes accusations that LiLo swiped a bystander with her car Wednesday in New York and fled the scene.

“I’m certainly not making excuses for Lindsay’s behavior,” Dina told the New York Daily News Friday. “But she’s a 26-year-old woman.”

The controversial mom also second-guessed her decision to push LiLo into showbiz at such a young age, which found the precocious and talented star scoring a slew of ads and top billing in flicks like The Parent Trap before she was even a teenager.

“I was born into the business,” Dina says. “My mother was an entertainer. It was natural. But yes, in the next life, I might not do it.”

Dina is herself no stranger to bonkers antics of her own, most recently raising eyebrows for her kooky interview with Dr. Phil that left the unflappable host stumped.

Oh yeah, there are also her notorious clubbing sprees with LiLo, which unleashed upon the world one of the most traumatizing open-mouthed smackeroos between a mom and daughter ever to assault the eyes of innocent readers everywhere.

But those clubbing days, Dina says, are over.

“I don’t party with Lindsay,” she now insists. “In the early years, I would go with her to clubs, because I wanted to see who the enablers were.”

Oh, those good ol’ early years. When it comes to LiLo, that’s—literally—all relative.
