Kanye West, your intricately thought-out marriage proposal to Kim Kardashian demonstrates the deep sincerity of your love for her. After Kim’s 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries – which ended with her filing divorce papers in a move that took Kris by complete surprise — a lot of Kardashian-watchers wondered if Kim could ever have a real romance that was definitively not manufactured for the reality TV cameras. But you have proven them all wrong, Kanye!

Many people wondered if Kim’s new relationship with Kanye, which started just a couple months after her split from Kris, was just another Keeping Up with the Kardashians plot device. Since Kanye isn’t exactly known for being fame-shy, their relationship seemed like a perfect made-for-a-season-of-TV romance.

Of course, Kanye complied by appearing in a season of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, but all these doubters should give it a rest after watching the new video of Kanye getting down on one knee and proposing to Kim in the middle of AT&T Stadium in San Francisco while an orchestra played Lana Del Rey‘s “Young and Beautiful.”

Kim couldn’t have looked happier, and she appeared to be crying tears of joy in the video! And then the couple kissed and embraced in a very long, loving, real-looking hug of happiness. The scene may have been filmed for KUWTK – in fact, it looked like it was — but it truly seemed like Kim was taken by total surprise with Kanye’s proposal. She may have been expecting a special birthday present, but not this big moment — at least not then.

The proposal turned into a full-blown party, and why not? There’s lots to celebrate! Kim is beaming in an entirely genuine way in all of the photos – truly happy that her longtime love and the father of North West would now be her life partner.
