New Hunger Games: Catching Fire Pics: Shirtless Sam Claflin and More!

Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Jennifer Lawrence (right) and Sam Claflin (left) get in shape for the second installment of The Hunger Games

Production has begun on the hugely anticipated sequel The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and we’ve got some new pics of Jennifer LawrenceJosh Hutchersonand franchise newcomer Sam Claflin on the set right here!

And Claflin isn’t wearing a shirt. No big deal.

Will The Hunger Games be for American actors what Harry Potter was for British thesps?

We’ve gotten so used to seeing a glammed-up Lawrence on red carpets and magazine covers and Hutcherson with his usual brown hair, but…we have a feeling we’ll get used to them in badass-Katniss-and-blond-Peeta mode soon.

Yup, already there.

SPOILER ALERT

When we left our heroine and her two potential suitors, Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen and Hutcherson’s Peeta Mellark had become the first-ever duo to win the Hunger Games, incurring the wrath of Panem President Snow (Donald Sutherland) and unwittingly sparking a District-wide revolution in the process.

Meanwhile, Katniss remains torn between Peeta and Liam Hemsworth‘s Gale—and neither of those insufferably proud warriors is going to insist she pick him. (There are two more movies to fill, after all.)

And we can offer a hearty welcome to Claflin, who plays the ridiculously good-looking, trident-wielding Hunger Games winner Finnick Odair.

Good grief, we cannot wait for Catching Fire!

Alas, the film doesn’t hit theaters until Nov. 22, 2013, so we’ll just have to make due with behind-the-scenes shots from the set in Atlanta and, once they start rolling out, all the flick pics we can handle.
